How Does Dodge’s 707HP Charger SRT Hellcat Perform As A Daily Driver?

We all know that the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is extremely fast.

As a matter of fact, it was the world’s fastest production sedan at the time of its 2014 launch and even though the Model S now holds that title, Dodge‘s creation is certainly the most absurd and over-the-top of the two.

Take the Charger SRT Hellcat to a drag strip and there’s a good chance it will wipe the floor with whatever it is pitted up against. But how does that performance translate onto the road? Can the Hellcat-powered Charger cope with everyday driving?

Carlos Lago and Jonny Liberman recently hit the streets in a bright red example to find out and on paper, the car seems like the perfect fun-yet-practical daily driver.

Compared to its Challenger sibling, the Charger not only has two extra doors and more refined styling, it is actually slightly faster in a straight line and only available with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Of course, the model’s real headline is its 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine delivering an incredible Lamborghini Aventador-beating 707 horses.
