The thing with performance cars is that there are only very select circumstances when you can experience their full potential. The 2016 Dodge Viper with the Hennessey Venom 800 Supercharged upgrade is one such car, and this is one way to experience all that power.
Even if you buy one of these beasts, you still have to find a way to get to the track to let it loose. There’s also the matter of driver skill. Owning this kind of car by no means gurantees you have the skill to drive it like it’s meant to be driven. You can try, but there’s a better than even chance if you push it to its limits, then you’ll end up somewhere in the grass, hopefully still shiny side up.
For those who don’t have the money to buy the Viper, or the skill to drive it to its limits, there are videos like this one. It shows this performance car during dyno testing. All is locked down and secured, so when they open it up there’s no chance that anyone or anything is going to end up wrecked.
Make sure turn up the volume because that’s the best part. You can see how much power is held in check by the straps securing the car, but you can best appreciate it when you hear it going all out.
