Dodge Is Reviving One Of Its Best Muscle Car Colors Of All Time

Muscle cars do look better in bright colors.

Mopar created some of the best looking paint jobs during the late 1960s and early ‘70s. More recently, Dodge has been bringing back some of these amazing colors for its Challenger and Charger models, which include Plum Crazy (purple), B5 Blue (blue), Top Banana (yellow), as well as Sublime (green). Now, after a 10-year gap, Dodge is planning on bringing the infamous Go Mango orange back as an option on its modern muscle cars. While the color was optioned on the 2016 Dodge Dart, this color really belongs on a high-performance model.

The color was last offered on the 2006 Dodge Charger R/T and was originally introduced on the 1970 Challenger. Dodge reports that the color has been modernized for its application on today’s muscle cars, but, as one can see, is still extremely orange. “Powerful performance cars like our Dodge Charger and Challenger demand high-impact colors,” stated Head of Passenger Car Brand Tim Kuniskis. “Dodge muscle cars have a long history of unique paint colors with iconic names, and we’ll continue to reach back into our paint code archive to give our enthusiast customers what the want.” The Go Mango paint job is available on the SRT 392 and Hellcat variants of the Challenger and Charger models.
