More importantly, the new Challenger T/A and Charger Daytona editions are not your regular marketing stunt with new colors and some extra bits and pieces – they also borrow interesting and compelling performance upgrades from the iconic Hellcat and Scat Pack versions. First off we have the Challenger T/A that uses the 5.7-liter V8-powered engine with 375-horsepower from the Challenger R/T. Then the company added Dodge’s cool “Air Catcher” headlights, LED T/A logos, a new ducted hood, an active exhaust system, and one-inch-wider forged aluminum wheels. You can also have it with a Super Track Pak available, which lowers the ride by half an inch and adds Bilstein shock absorbers, better brakes, remapped stability control, as well as Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. Other interesting additions are the satin black hood or T/A stripes, among others, with the base price starting from $37,390, with the automaker also offering a new color called Green Go. The T/A option can also be had on the 485-hp Challenger 392, which has a 6.4-liter V8 engine, new 20-inch wheels, and other stuff – priced from $43,995.
Moving on to the Charger, this all new Daytona trim pays homage to the limited-production, NASCAR-inspired monster from 1969 – and packs the 5.7-liter Hemi V8, as well as numerous upgrades, such as the active performance exhaust system, Super Track Pak with Eagle F1 tires, a 2.62 rear axle ratio, and a reworked automatic transmission – all starting from $39,890. The Charger 392 is also available with the Daytona infusion – alongside direct cold air induction, a 3.09 final drive ratio, and limited-slip rear axle. There’s even more: Brembo brakes, 20-inch wheels, special fender decals, and all-season performance tires – all for $44,995.
