Set to be offered on the 2016 Dodge Challenger and Charger SRT 392 and SRT Hellcat models, Go Mango is Dodge’s latest heritage-inspired exterior paint hue and is already available on order. The old/new shade was officially revived this past weekend at the 11th annual Spring Festival in Irvine, California where the modernized Go Mango was shown.
In recent years, Dodge brought back to life several other beloved colors for the Challenger and Charger models, with relevant examples being Plum Crazy (purple), Top Banana (yellow), B5 Blue, and Sublime (green). Also offered on the Dart, Go Mango is making a return after being offered for a limited production run on specific 2006 Charger R/T Daytona models.
According to Dodge, the modernized version of the Go Mango paint combines orange and red tones to create a “high-impact color that showcases the legendary Dodge performance attitude.” In the future, other retro-flavored colors could make a comeback as Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America, says they will “continue to reach back into our paint code archive to give our enthusiast customers what they want.”
