The Dodge Durango recently celebrated its best sales in nearly a decade so the company is marking the achievement by introducing two new appearance packages for the model.
First up, Durango Limited variants can be equipped with a new Brass Monkey package that costs $995. The package includes a gloss black grille, additional body-color components, and 20-inch aluminum wheels with a Burnished Bronze finish.
Customers who opt for the Durango Citadel will be able to order a new Anodized Platinum appearance package for $1,095. Designed to give the model an “even more polished look,” the package includes an assortment of Platinum colored components including the grille, door handles, and mirror caps. The package also adds 20-inch Satin Carbon aluminum wheels.
Since the models are equipped with appearance packages, the 3.6-liter V6 engine carries over and continues to produce up to 295 horsepower and 260 pound of torque It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which can be paired to an optional all-wheel drive system.
In a statement, FCA’s Tim Kuniskis said “We see a great response when we give our Dodge and SRT customers the opportunity to make their vehicles unique, so offering new custom exterior options is just one way we plan to continue to keep building on Durango’s success.”
Dealers will begin accepting orders for the models tomorrow and deliveries are slated for the second quarter of 2016.
