We get it, it’s hard to stand out from the sea of ordinary cars when you’re in a Dodge Challenger or Charger, even if you’ve got the SRT 392 or Hellcat versions. There is some good news, though, for iconoclasts who want to look different: The 2016 Dodge Charger and Challenger SRT 392 and Hellcat can now be optioned with a wild Go Mango paint job.
The special-edition color is exactly what it sounds like, a bright mango-orange hue for your Dodge. The color recalls one first introduced for the 1970 Dodge Challenger; it was more recently offered on special versions of the 2006 Charger R/T Daytona and the 2016 Dart. The eye-searing option follows the launch of the slightly more subdued Plum Crazy paint for the Charger and Challenger last summer.
Go Mango paint can be ordered immediately on the 2016 Dodge Charger Hellcat and Challenger Hellcat, as well as on SRT 392 models of both cars. The Hellcat models, which pack Dodge’s infamous 707-hp, 6.2-liter supercharged behemoth of a V-8, saw their sticker prices increase for the 2016 model year. Dodge bundled in more standard equipment in both rear-drive tire-smokers, pushing the list price up a little bit. The company also realized it would have to double production of Hellcat engines for the 2016 model year after orders quickly outnumbered Dodge’s production capacity.
