1987 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z commercial
Thanks to 174 turbo horses, the Daytona Shelby Z actually was pretty quick
The Dodge Daytona of the 1980s and 1990s (not to be confused with the B-Body versions of an earlier era) was one of the many members of the huge K-Car family, and the Shelby version offered plenty of blow-dried horsepower (by the standards of the era) for the blow-dried driver.
This ad depicts a gentleman who is perfectly suited for his era, driving his Shelby Z on picturesque mountain roads leading to a rendezvous with a hair-tossing waitress. Cue the first-generation drum machine and squealing guitar!
